A visual world built into the music
Written, performed and produced by Charlie Void, Velvet Runway is a polished, high-concept dance-pop record with a retro-pop edge and a distinctly contemporary finish. Fashion, photography, character and performance are built into the project from the ground up, creating a visual world as deliberate as the music itself.
A new creative partnership
The release also sees Void working with veteran South African songwriter and publisher Patric van Blerk through Silversongs (Pty) Ltd / PvB Music, with publishing administration and sync representation for “Velvet Runway” through Downtown Music Publishing Africa, formerly Sheer Publishing Africa, connecting the single to Downtown’s global publishing infrastructure and the wider Virgin Music Group ecosystem.
