Charlie Void is a South African pop artist, songwriter, producer, visual artist and performance artist working across pop, dance-pop and the avant-garde.

Music, fashion, photography, character, movement and spectacle are treated as parts of the same authored world. Following a multi-year hiatus, Charlie Void returned in 2025 with a self-directed approach to music, visuals and performance, receiving Federation Colours in Performance Art for Team South Africa and earning gold and silver medals.

Downtown.

Recorded in 2018, “Downtown” later reached #55 on South Africa’s iTunes Electronic Songs Chart. Charlie discovered the historical chart result retrospectively while reviewing his catalogue, prompting the track’s return to streaming.
