Full official biography

Charlie Void · 2026

Charlie Void is a songwriter, performance artist and producer based in Cape Town, building a multidisciplinary career across recorded music, composition, production, publishing, fashion and visual performance.

At the centre of the project is Charlie Void as both an artist and a creative brand. His approach to pop extends beyond the finished recording: songwriting, production, image-making, fashion, photography and performance are treated as interconnected parts of the same creative world.

Void first released Just Dance in 2019. Contemporary coverage reported that the debut reached #1 on the DJ Top 30 Choice chart and received radio and online-radio exposure internationally. The song remains part of a deliberately curated catalogue that has since been refined to represent the current Charlie Void identity.

His professional career also extends behind the music through songwriting, composition, production and publishing relationships. Individual works may be subject to different publishing and administration arrangements, and Void’s professional structure therefore operates through a network of creative and industry partners rather than a single conventional label identity.

In 2025, Charlie Void entered a significant new phase. His music generated 433,000 Spotify streams during the year and reached listeners across 92 countries.

Beyond recorded music, Void received Federation Colours representing Team South Africa in Performance Art in 2025 and won gold and silver medals in performance competition.

Performance remains central to the Charlie Void identity. Rather than treating music, fashion and visual presentation as separate disciplines, Void approaches them as parts of the same authored project—combining pop songwriting with deliberate image-making, theatricality and visual world-building.

The next chapter is already in motion: Swipe It and Velvet Runway are coming soon, with further releases, collaborations and visual projects to be announced as their campaigns enter the public phase.
